CONSTRUCTION: MAKING THE POSTER.
Today in lesson we decided we were going to make the poster for publishing and advertising. We took a still image from our movie and decided that this would be the foundation of our poster. In addition to this we decided to add text in a specific font that we would use throughout to keep it in formation. Below is the poster.

This week, you have taken responsibility for making a film poster for your psychological drama /thriller film opening. You plan to use the poster on your film's website, Twitter page and Facebook page. You have thoughtfully researched genre conventions, selected a still from the film, edited the image in Photoshop and sought feedback at all stages. The work looks excellent: well done! Your whole approach shows clear understanding of the ways in which film audiences are attracted and addressed.
ReplyDeleteWhen you analyse the doll, explain clearly that your inspiration came from seeing a war photo with a battered rag toy caught on barbed wire.
ReplyDeleteExplain that it is a symbolic code. Explain that in your film it will serve to suggest that the child has been snatched, leaving behind her toy.
